The dog of Faithful Friends founder Jane Pierantozzi was killed in a hit-and-run crash earlier this month.
Pierantozzi was walking her dog, Emma, along the side of South Clayton Street near Maple Street at about 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2023 when they were struck by a vehicle.
Pierantozzi was taken to the hospital in stable condition, while Emma died.
The Wilmington Police Department said the are looking for a tan minivan or SUV that fled south on Clayton Street (wrong-way).
