Family of 5 and their pets displaced in early morning fire, no injuries reported

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A family of 5 and their pets are looking for a new home after fire heavily damaged their apartment Monday morning.

The San Antonio Fire Department says they were called to Krocker Way on the West Side at around 3 a.m.

There’s no word on how the fire started but it damaged all of the family’s belongings.

The building’s cinder block construction kept the flames from spreading to any of the other apartments.

Firefighters say the estimated amount of damage is about $5,000.

The family members, their 3 dogs and 1 cat were not injured.
