This weekend at Fingerlakes Mall will be about reptiles, rocks and reads.
The mall will host the annual Finger Lakes Reptile & Exotics Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 27, with VIP access beginning at 9 a.m.
The show will feature more than 60 vendors with an array of healthy, captive-bred reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and other unique exotics available for purchase, the mall said in a news release.
“Attendees can browse through the extensive selection of animals and accessories, ensuring they find everything they need to care for their scaly companions,” the mall said. “Whether you're a reptile enthusiast, shopping for your next exotic pet, or simply curious, this event promises an educational and entertaining experience for all ages.”
The show will also include educational opportunities with expert speakers on reptile care, behavior and conservation, as well as interactive exhibits.

The show will take place in the Event Center of the mall, 1579 Clark St. Road, Aurelius.

Quartz Fest Summer Gem Show
Meanwhile, the mall will also be the site of the Quartz Fest Summer Gem Show from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday this weekend.
Hosted by the Finger Lakes Gem, Mineral & Fossil Club, the show will feature crystals, minerals, fossils, jewelry, gems, wire wrapping, geode breaking, food and more.
Admission is $5 for adults and free for children 12 and younger and Scouts.
33rd annual Auburn Book Bonanza
Alongside those two events at the mall this weekend will be the 33rd annual Auburn Book Bonanza used book sale Friday through Sunday.
One of the largest used book sales in central New York, it will feature rare books, first editions, vintage books, antiques and more.
The sale will begin with early bird access, with a suggested donation of $5, from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday. The sale will continue from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Visitors will be able to fill boxes, which will be provided, for $20 on Sunday. (Some exceptions may apply.)
Prices are $4 for better books, $2 for teen and adult hardcovers, $1.50 for teen and adult softcovers, 50 cents for children's books and $2 for DVDs. Only cash will be accepted.
A portion of proceeds from the sale will support Sleep in Heavenly Peace and American Near East Refugee Aid.
The sale will also include a raffle, with prizes that include homesteading and Wiccan book bundles, a HABA children's toy basket and a trip for two to Boldt Castle.
Books can be donated to the sale by July 12 at the window in the mall near the former Sears store.
