EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Emergency crews extinguished a house fire near Album Park in East El Paso and rescued several pets after fighting the flames for about an hour.
According to the El Paso Fire Department, crews knocked down a house fire on the 10300 block of Suewood Ct.
The call came out at around 12:58 p.m., and the fire was reported as extinguished by 2:00 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
EPFD said five dogs and one cat were rescued. Unfortunately, three cats did not make it out alive.
Authorities described the fire as a condition 2.
Fire investigators are looking into what sparked the fire.
EPFD added that crews from El Paso Electric also responded to the scene to secure power lines near the fire.
