Fire crews were called to Astonfields Balancing Lakes on Sandon Road last Wednesday (April 30) at around 11.40pm after a family pet, Eddie, had gone missing.
With help of his four-legged friend Teddy who was barking, causing Eddie to reply, firefighters located him in “dense undergrowth”.
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said Eddie had been stuck in the undergrowth for hours.
Shortly before 12.40am, Eddie was brought to safety by Stafford Blue Watch and returned to his owner.
