First Kristi Noem shot her own dog. Now she takes aim at Joe Biden’s

One of the leading contenders to be Donald Trump’s running-mate has suggested that President Biden’s unruly pet dog should be shot dead, after admitting killing her own puppy.

Kristi Noem, the Republican governor of South Dakota and a vocal supporter of the former president, has made ensuring that Commander, a German shepherd, is “nowhere on the grounds” of the White House a priority should she ever become president.

“What would I do if I was president on the first day in office in 2025? Thanks for asking. I happen to have a list. The first thing I’d do is make sure Joe Biden’s dog was nowhere on the grounds (‘Commander, say hello to Cricket for me’),” Noem writes in a new book, No Going Back
