THE ADDISON COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY SAYS HE IS THE FIRST PET ADOPTED FROM HOMEWARD BOUND IN 20-25. OFFICIALS TELL US TINSEL FIRST CAME TO HOMEWARD BOUND AT 2 YEARS OLD MID-DECEMBER. HE WAS ADOPTED BY THE MARANVILLE FAMILY. WE'RE TOLD THAT TINSEL USED TO LIVE IN A TINY BURLINGTON APARTMENT WITH A SWARM OF OTHER CATS BEFORE HE WAS ADOPTED TO HIS NEW HOME IN WEST RUTLAND. HE'S JOINING TWO HUMAN SIBLINGS AND WILL BE THEIR ONLY FOUR- LEGGED FAMILY MEMBER
First pet adopted in 2025 from Addison County shelter finds new home
The Addison County Humane Society announced that Tinsel, a 2-year-old cat, is the first pet adopted from Homeward Bound in 2025. Tinsel arrived at the shelter in mid-December from a crowded Burlington apartment. The Maranville family of West Rutland adopted Tinsel, who now joins two human siblings as their only four-legged family member. Shelter officials said they are thrilled to see Tinsel start the new year in a loving home.
