SAN ANTONIO – Five people and the family pets are displaced after an a fire at a West Side apartment.
The fire started around 3 a.m. Monday at an apartment off Krocker Way near Southwest 19th Street.
Fire officials said the fire destroyed the contents of the apartment, but because the building was made of cinder block, the damage was contained to the one unit. No structural damage was identified.
Damage is estimated around $5,000.
The five people, along with three dogs and a cat, were displaced due to the fire.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
