LSU basketball star, Flau’jae Johnson, was on the Tamron Hall Show, where shared life lessons she’s learned- on and off the court.
“I think I just like learned to fall in love with the process,” said Johnson. “And then, once you fall in love with the process, the goals don’t even matter because you’ll end up surpassing those goals.”

2) Pageant World Shakeup: Miss Teen USA resigns days after Miss USA
Miss Teen USA, UmaSofia Srivastava, surrendered her crown days after Miss USA. Miss USA Noelia Voigt, who was crowned in September, was first to resign citing mental health issues.

KTAL spoke with one local pageant queen, Lily Gayle, who holds the title “Miss Louisiana Port City.” Gayle has made it part of her personal mission to bring mental health awareness and resources to schools across the state.
“I actually attempted suicide three times, and thank god none of those worked or I would not be here with you right now,” expressed Gayle, who is set to compete in Miss Louisiana this summer.
3) National Pet Week
The week of May 5th through May 11th is national pet week, a time for pet lovers everywhere to celebrate their furry friends. Fox33 anchor Jezzamine Wolk and KTAL digital anchor Brittany Defran expressed their love for their dogs, Teddy and Milo.
“It’s so great to have a pet, and for everyone who has their pets out there, make sure you give them some extra loving today,” said Defran.
