Former Playboy model has nose bitten off by dog in New Year’s Eve horror

WARNING, GRAPHIC CONTENT: A Brazilian former Playboy model had the New Year's Eve from hell when she had a chunk of her nose bitten off by a dog she had stooped to pet – Juliana Isen needed surgery

A former Playboy model had part of her nose bitten off by a dog in a horror incident on New Year’s Eve.

Brazilian influencer Juliana Isen, also known for a nude protest against the Brazilian government in 2015, was at a party in Mexico City on New Year’s Eve. Her fun night turned into a nightmare, however, when the 39-year-old decided to pet a pooch at the party.

The Akita Inut bit the model’s hand and then the tip of her nose, leaving her being rushed to the city's Angeles Hospital and needing a two-hour procedure. She also had a bacterial infection due to the bite

According to the Brazilian outlet Metrópoles, Juliana was worried when the dog bit her.

“I was at a New Year’s Eve party and had a very serious accident. A little before midnight, I saw an Akita Inu dog,” she said. “I have this habit of approaching and petting dogs, but when I went to do it, he attacked me violently. He bit my nose so hard that I thought I was going to lose my face.”

Juliana revealed to her 2.5 million followers on Instagram: “I had surgery to remove the bacteria and had my entire nose reconstructed.”

She added: “Thank God, the plastic surgeon said I won't have any scars.”

Juliana even said that she was “happier” because she won’t have to return to Brazil for further treatment and that her nose was better than it was before.

She said: “The doctor said I don't need to do anything in Brazil, he reconstructed my entire nose.”

Juliana continued: “I don't need to do anything aesthetically, I don't need anything. It's perfect. I think he even refined my nose a little more, it's thinner…

“I did all the tests, it wasn't rabies, but I was infected by a dangerous bacteria,' she added. I'm taking antibiotics and being monitored in the hospital to avoid complications.”

Videos on her story today showed Juliana receiving further treatment from her doctor and cutting a large pastry with him.

In 2015, Juliana became known after attending a protest against then-President Dilma Rousseff while topless. She also exposed herself at during a live broadcast at the annual Carnival.

Of her fame at the time, she said: “I’m living each day as one day. But I’m very happy. If this is happening it’s because I’m loved by the people.”
