Four good dog friendly Bury pubs based on Tripadvisor and Dog Friendly

Look no further as Bury and the rest of the borough has some great spots in town.

We have taken a look at four of the best dog friendly pubs in the area based on reviews on websites Tripadvisor and Dog Friendly where you can take your furry friends to on your next walk this spring:

The Red Lion in Ramsbottom Road, Hawkshaw, offers seasonal menus and a spacious beer garden – perfect for you and your beloved pooch.

In response to a reviewer on Tripadvisor, a pub spokesperson said: “We do love dogs at the Red Lion.

“We have and always will allow dogs in the bar area and our outside terrace.”

The Brown Cow in Burrs Country Park is another popular spot for dog owners to take their pets.

With treats and a bowl of water offered, the Brown Cow makes it a great pit stop before setting off again.

The Blue Bell in Manchester Road, Unsworth, is a modern, spacious pub.

On arrival, customers can also enjoy watching all the latest sports with a great selection of pub classics and regular offers throughout the week.

One reviewer on Tripadvisor said: “Thumbs up for being very progressive and forward-thinking to allow well-behaved dogs in.”

The Waggon and Horses in Bolton Road, Hawkshaw, is a charming traditional country pub.

And the establishment is open to having your dog around with bowls of water on the floor for their use.

A spokesperson on the pub's website said: “Well-behaved dogs on leads are always welcomed at The Waggon in our bar and snug areas.”

Of course there are plenty of other great pubs across Bury where you can take your dogs. Let us know in the comments if you have any favourites!
