Last weekend, youth volunteers read to numerous adoptable cats at Ahimsa Haven Animal Rescue, and Fozzy was definitely a “fan favorite.” This gorgeous, sweet-tempered lion-like kitty sat happily in children’s laps for nearly two hours, and loved being read stories. He has the coat of a Maine-Coon, but is medium-sized, and has the fuzziest, “fozzy-est” toe-beans.
And here’s his story: according to volunteers, this noble cat was “found outside fully matted and fending for himself, and now this love bug is making up for lost time.”
Fozzy has been diagnosed with FIV – which does not preclude him living in a home with cats, and even a cat-friendly dog (with proper introductions). He loves to play, and he can enjoy a long and healthy life as an indoor cat without the need of medication. Visit Ahimsahaven.org to fill out an application. All cats ready to be adopted are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate shots, are micro-chipped, dewormed/deflead, and FEL/FIV tested. If you can’t adopt, please share this story.
