The ASPCA, in partnership with CancerCare PAW Program, is hosting a free pet vaccination event on Tuesday, May 14th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Long Island City. Queens residents can make an appointment to bring their furry friends to Queensbridge Park, located at 41st Ave.& Vernon Blvd, for DA2PP, FvRCP, and Rabies vaccines.

The CancerCare PAW Program is a nonprofit initiative that offers educational sessions for cancer patients on how to care for their pets during their treatment journey. They provide support to individuals undergoing cancer treatment who face challenges in managing the needs of their cats and dogs at home. Additionally, the program features an online ‘Helping Paws’ database, which lists low-cost and free pet care services, further assisting patients in maintaining the well-being of their beloved pets.

In addition to the free pet vaccination event, the ASPCA offers free and low-cost spay and neuter surgery for cats and dogs in New York City. The ASPCA’s Mobile spay and neuter clinic is available for Queens residents in the zip codes of 11369, 11370, 11371, 11372, 11373, and 11377. Residents in the eligible zip codes can sign up to get on the waitlist for the next mobile clinic on May 20th.

To request an appointment for the free pet vaccination event, email your name, address and phone number to refferals@aspca.org
