Ryanair cancels Portugal flights impacting holidays for almost a million passengers

Ryanair has been forced to cancel thousands of flights to a Portugal destination.
The budget airline has scrapped around 5,000 flights to Lisbon after being forced to scrap the number of aircrafts in the city from seven to four.
It means almost 900,000 customers this summer will be impacted by cancelled flights which could scupper holiday plans.

Terminally ill Scots dad to attend his own ‘living wake’ after being given weeks to live

A terminally ill dad who has just weeks left to live is desperate to attend his own living wake with loved ones before he dies.
Gordon Airlie was diagnosed with Acute myeloid leukaemia in April 2021 and initially given just 48-hours to live after his diagnosis at Ninewells Hospital .
The 47-year-old had suffered from recurring sickness, body pain, blood blisters and noticed blood in his urine and faeces.

A Scots teen has been left with nerve damage and says she is afraid to leave her house after being attacked by two ‘vicious’ Rottweilers while walking her dog.
Sarah Louise Carrick was taking her one-year-old Jackahuahua, Pickle, for a stroll near Dalry public park in Ayrshire on Saturday afternoon when they were both set upon by a pair of ‘big’ Rottweilers.
The 19-year-old says she spotted the dogs in the distance rounding a corner and ‘coming for’ her beloved pet while walking on the busy footpath.

Scots woman ‘spiked’ in Spain too scared to travel alone after nightmare holiday

A Scots woman who believes she was ‘spiked’ abroad says she has been left too scared to travel alone after her holiday turned into a nightmare.
Lyndsey Watson, 36, had been carefree when she travelled to Madrid to meet up with a pal for her birthday at the end of February.
But what should have been a relaxing weekend away ended up a holiday from hell.

Killer who stabbed Scots dad to death after row over planning permission jailed for life

A killer stabbed his neighbour to death after a row about their homes descended into murder .
Jorgo Pano had a long-running disagreement over ” planning permission , driveways and car parking” with Dave Newton and his family.
Violence was sparked when the 44 year-old hurled paint over his fence onto the Newtons’ car late at night.
