HOOPESTON, Ill. (WCIA) — Hoopeston Animal Rescue Team believes that Every Pet Matters – No Pet Should Suffer. HART provides shelter as a no kill safe environment for the lost, unwanted, abused, sick and injured animals. HART ensures that those animals receive love and medically necessary care to enjoy quality of life and to find forever homes by way of adoption.
Amy Buttram, HART Volunteer Coordinator introduces us to resident, Dante! He is a fun and loving dog who turns six years old next month! Dante was having some stress at HART and decided to go bunk at Amy’s mom house for a bit. Amy shares how it’s been great getting to see his personality unfold. He loves to go for car rides and golf cart rides. Shop at Tractor Supply and C&D Feed and Seed in Hoopeston. An active family would be the best fit more Dante. He loves kids, especially Jr high and high school age. Taking him through McDonald’s is like taking a celebrity through. All the high school kids know him! He is good with other dogs and is cool with cats. Adoption fee is waived.
Upcoming Events:
On Sunday, April 7th it’s Hoopeston Area Women’s Club Annual Carnival. It’s a free event that runs from 1PM to 3PM. There are games, jump house, dessert walk, and we will be there with some of our adoptable cats. And maybe Dante…we will see how he feels that day.
Plus, Caturday! Saturday, April 13th. 2-4PM. Open hours. Come meet HARTs cats. Bring donations.
