CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Pets in the Park is back for its fourth year, bringing joy to Carolina Beach with a day dedicated to all things pet-related.
Organized by the Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce, the event promises a tail-wagging good time for families and their furry friends.
Held at Carolina Beach Lake, the festival featured a variety of vendors and organizations committed to animal welfare.
Attendees explored booths that included a puppy kissing booth, “Ask the Vet” consultations, and mobile grooming vans, ensuring that pets were pampered and cared for throughout the day.
Alannah Keeler, an event coordinator, expressed her enthusiasm for the festival’s future, stating, “I can speak for myself—I am going to keep this event going for as long as they’ll let me. It’s my favorite day of the year; it’s full of smiles and squeals, all sorts of animals and fun times, so I would love to keep it going.”
In addition to the vendor activities, the event featured contests for pets in categories such as costumes and tricks.
WWAY’s very own Jeff Rivenbark served as the emcee, delighting the crowd as he announced who was top dog.
