Nash is an 8-month-old puppy with all the characteristics of a lab. He loves to chase sticks, play in the water and show off his tricks.
LANCASTER, Pa. — This week’s Furry Friend is Nash, brought to us by the Pet Pantry of Lancaster County.
Nash is an 8-month=old Labrador Retriever with a beautiful black coat.
This handsome pup is on the hunt for his forever family. He was surrendered to the Pet Pantry after his previous owner could no longer take care of him.
Nash is now doing whatever it takes to find his new family, even if that means showing off a little! He knows how to sit and shake on command. He could use some more training for typical puppy behaviors like jumping with excitement when he meets new people, but this pup loves treats and is eager to learn.
Michelle Gore, Animal Care Manager at the Pet Pantry, says Nash's ideal family will be an active one.
“They would be able to take him on a lot of fun adventures,” she tells FOX43. “They would also be able to complete the training that he needs, because he is still a puppy and he is still active, very playful, very outgoing. He loves to go places, take car rides, meet new people and other dogs.”
Nash is a happy go lucky dog. He’d do well with kids, especially older kids that can handle his size.
“If your kid is dog savvy and loves to play, that would be a great companion for him,” says Gore.
Another bonus with Nash, he’s mastered crate training.
“My favorite thing about him is that he’s very good in his crate,” Gore says. “He’s amazingly crate trained. So if you’re looking for that in your house he’s already done. He’s very comfortable and secure in his crate. He sleeps in there at night.”
Gore says Nash is a typical lab who loves to chase sticks and play in the water. He'll be a fun companion to join almost any family.
