FWACC, BISSELL Pet Foundation partner for reduced-fee ‘Empty the Shelters’ adoption event

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – In partnership with the BISSELL Pet Foundation, Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control (FWACC) is participating in a reduced-fee ‘Empty the Shelters’ adoption event.

Alongside over 400 shelters in 43 states nationwide, FWACC will be participating in a reduced-fee ‘Empty the Shelters’ adoption event from May 1-15.

BISSELL Pet Foundation, a national animal welfare organization dedicated to ending pet homelessness, sponsors reduced adoption fees of $50 or less per cat or dog during each ‘Empty the Shelters’ event.

Adoption fees will be reduced at FWACC as well as off-site locations including Covington Veterinary Hospital, Westside Animal Hospital, New Haven Pet Hospital, Black Forest Cat Café, Pet Supplies Plus, and Petsmart stores.

FWACC’s ‘Empty the Shelters’ reduced adoption fees are as follows:

  • $50 adoption fee for dogs (between 2 months and 6 years old)
  • Waived adoption fee for dogs (7 years and older)
  • “Pick your Price” for all cats and small animals
