FWACC extends deadline for waived adoption fees for kittens and cats


FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control (FWACC) shares its waived adoption fees for kittens and cats will continue to be offered until Friday, June 28. This announcement extends the original deadline for the sale set for Friday, June 7.

FWACC says all kittens and cats on-site and at the following off-site locations will have waived adoption fees: New Haven Pet Hospital, Covington Veterinary Hospital, Westside Animal Hospital, Black Forest Cat Café, Pet Supplies Plus, and PetSmart stores.

For kittens, the adoption fee will be on a “Pick Your Own Price” system. For cats that are at least six months old, the adoption fee is waived.

FWACC says those interested in adopting kittens or cats can view available animals and fill out an adoption application at https://www.cityoffortwayne.org/animal-care-and-control. Adoption applications are also available in person.

FWACC’s Adoption Center is open from 12-5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and from 12-6 p.m. on Wednesdays.
