Gentle dog Hat Trick lost his leg after being shot several times

Hat Trick was shot several times in a remote community, and his leg was so badly shattered it had to be removed. But this sweet and gentle boy is doing great in his Victoria Humane Society foster home, and he’s not letting being a tripod slow him down at all. Here’s Tess van Straaten with Pet CHEK.

If you’re interested in adopting Hat Trick or other animals from the Victoria Humane Society, you can find out more and submit an adoption application on the VHS website.

You’re invited! We’re having a 5th Anniversary party during CHEK News at 5 on Sunday, Sept. 22, at Hyacinth Park in Saanich from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. If you have an animal that was on Pet CHEK, we’d love to see you for our live broadcast celebrating five years! We’ll also have a puppy cuddle station and everyone is welcome.
