Get paid $2,500 for watching 24 hours of dog movies, company says


NEW YORK (PIX11) – A company will be giving $2,500 to two people willing to watch movies about dogs for 24 hours.

Pettable, a service that provides letters for emotional support animals, has opened applications for its Board of Doggie Flick Directors. The person hired for the role will have to write a 1,000 to 1,500-word blog post reviewing and ranking each of the movies, according to the job posting.

The person is also being asked to write about a dog in their life that brings them joy – whether it’s a childhood pet, a new dog, a psychiatric service dog or an emotional support animal. They’ll also be required to watch all of the movies within 48 hours.

Here are the movies each person will have to watch:

  • 101 Dalmations (1996) (103 minutes)
  • A Dog’s Way Home (96 minutes)

  • Eight Below (120 minutes)
  • My Dog Tulip (83 minutes)

  • All Dogs Go to Heaven (84 minutes)
  • Megan Leavey (116 minutes)

  • Red Dog (92 minutes)
