The grandmother who was mauled to death by her wannabe rapper son-in-law's two XL Bullies died of ‘unsurvivable' dog bite wounds to her right arm, an inquest heard.
Police discovered Esther Martin, 68, unresponsive inside her daughter and son-in-law's chalet in Jaywick, Essex on February 3.
Ms Martin lived in Woodford Green in east London but was staying at the property on Hillman Avenue whilst she was visiting her 11-year-old grandson for the weekend.
The two XL Bullies, named Beauty and Bear, belonged to her son-in-law Ashley Warren, 39, and had six puppies that were also inside the chalet.
Ms Martin was reportedly attempting to calm the puppies with a broom when Beauty and Bear attacked her.

Her grandson was inside the chalet at the time of the incident and ran out screaming for help.
Police were called at 4pm and arrived within minutes, finding an unresponsive Ms Martin along with the ‘two large dogs'.
Coroner's officer Andy Flack said: ‘She was unresponsive' and ‘Her injuries were unsurvivable'.

Warren's relatives have claimed that the dogs, who appeared in his music videos, were beloved pets and that the unexpected arrival of puppies ‘changed their behaviour'

Mr Warren was arrested on suspicion of dangerous dog offences and has been bailed until March 5.
Lincoln Brookes, senior coroner for Essex, suspended the inquest proceedings pending the outcome of the police investigation.
He said: ‘May I extend my deepest condolences to the family of Ms Martin on what on any view is an extremely tragic death of a loved one.'
Ms Martin's daughter Sonia, 47, has since claimed that the two beasts were kept ‘penned in a small chalet' along with six puppies and that her mother had previously raised concerns about them.
She said that her son gave her mother instructions on how to calm the puppies if they started fighting.

Warren's mother, Michelle Stotter, said that Beauty and Bear saw Ms Martin using a broom to try and calm their puppies as her attacking them and ‘went' for her
She said: ‘His directions to my mum was – as we understand it – was that if the puppies were fighting she should put a broom in there and distract the puppies – run it over the floor and shake it to get their attention so they would stop fighting.
