Ya gotta wonder what some of these folks are thinking when they do this stuff. I mean, that is a massive killing machine you are walking right up to. But people just don’t seem to get it, despite the fact they are wild animals, people think that the laws of nature don’t apply to them. When it comes to animals that may be worth the risk, grizzly bears are certainly not one of them. These beasts are known to be fierce. They can reach over 1,000 pounds in some areas and are known for their strength and power.
With people, they generally will just avoid and go the other way, but they can also be territorial, especially if you are around their food or their cubs. A mama grizzly will charge first and ask questions later if she detects the slightest threat of danger to cubs… even if there is no danger at all.
Moral of the story… stay away from the grizzly bear.
This guy just doesn’t get it though, as he seen approaching a roadside grizzly bear that is feeding. The man walks up with his hand stuck out like it is a dog or something and he’s going to pet it. He quickly finds out it’s not a dog, as it begins to charge. The man turns and runs, another stupid move by this guy. The bear chases him right up onto the roof of his own car.
Lucky for him the bear decided to stop there, but this bozo got what he had coming to him. Hopefully a lesson learned… but I wouldn’t count on it.
