Sickening footage has emerged showing the moment barbaric Hamas terrorists shot dead an Israeli family's dog before storming their home, raiding the fridge, and setting fire to it.
The horrifying attack was the latest in several that unfolded in the farming community of Be'eri, where Israeli security forces and rescue workers later made the grim discovery of more than 100 bodies following a long hostage standoff with gunmen.
This clip from the GoPro camera attached to the helmet of one Hamas fighter shows the pet dog rushing out of the house towards the terrorists before it was shockingly shot dead in a hail of bullets.
The terrorists can then be seen entering the house, going through the family's belongings, and even raiding the fridge in the kitchen by drinking orange juice.
One of the gunmen then takes out a lighter from his pocket before setting fire to house plants trailing down the wall, with the blaze quickly spreading to other hanging ornaments.
He described Hamas terrorists as “savages” and compared the group to ISIS.
He said in a video address to the nation: “Israel is at war. We didn’t want this war. It was forced upon us in the most brutal and savage way. But though Israel didn’t start this war, Israel will finish it.
“Once, the Jewish people were stateless. Once, the Jewish people were defenseless. No longer.
“Hamas will understand that by attacking us, they have made a mistake of historic proportions. We will exact a price that will be remembered by them and Israel’s other enemies for decades to come.
“The savage attacks that Hamas perpetrated against innocent Israelis are mindboggling: slaughtering families in their homes, massacring hundreds of young people at an outdoor festival, kidnapping scores of women, children and elderly, even Holocaust survivors.
“Hamas terrorists bound, burned, and executed children. They are savages. Hamas is ISIS. And just as the forces of civilization united to defeat ISIS, the forces of civilization must support Israel in defeating Hamas.”
The Israeli president also thanked President Joe Biden for his “unequivocal support”, as well as world leaders “who are standing with Israel today”.
