Her Ears and Chest Were Full Of Ticks! This Pitbull Needs Help ASAP

Moka, a pit bull who lived her whole life in the same backyard, became the center of a heartwarming story of community help and kindness. Moka was suffering badly from ticks because her family, like many in less wealthy places, didn’t know the right way to treat them. Instead, they used motor oil, an old but harmful remedy, on her skin.

Moka’s Situation

Her life began to change when her owner asked for help from Sidewalk Specials, an organization that helps dogs and also does mass sterilizations. This was Moka’s first time out of her yard and her first visit to a vet. The vets were shocked by her condition; she had so many ticks, and it was clear she needed immediate care.

Moka’s story touched many hearts when Sidewalk Specials shared it online, looking for someone to pay for her vet visit. A generous person came forward to cover the costs, showing the amazing things that can happen when people come together to help.

Moka’s Recovery

At the vet, Moka got treated for ticks and worms. She also got special medicine and shampoo to heal her skin from the damage caused by the motor oil. Her recovery over the next two weeks was nothing short of miraculous. She looked healthier, and her spirits were high—changes that made her owner and everyone else who knew her story very happy.

Sidewalk Specials kept checking on Moka to make sure she stayed healthy. They taught her owner how to prevent ticks in the future without harmful remedies. As a final gift, they gave Moka her own kennel, a safe and cozy place for her to sleep.

A Happy Ending

Moka’s transformation is more than just a happy ending. It shows how much good can come when people work together to help animals in need. It’s a powerful example of kindness and community support, encouraging all of us to lend a hand and make a difference where we can. Thanks to everyone’s efforts, Moka is now living a happy and healthy life with her family.
