HONOLULU (KHON2) — Honolulu Fire Department rescued a four-legged friend who fell off the side of a trail in Pearl City Saturday morning.

According to reports, the dog’s owner was hiking with the dog for about 45 minutes when the dog fell off the side of the trail, 20-feet down.
The call came in at about 10 a.m. and rescuers were on the scene within 30 minutes.
They were able to secure a landing zone near Pearl City High School.
And after visually locating the dog, rescuers were able to rejoin the dog to it’s owner on the trail.
They went back down the trail on their own with no injuries.
This rescue comes days after another four-legged friend was rescued by a hiker in Kaaawa.

The hiker was able to document the rescue and find the pet’s owners via social media and rejoin the dog to it’s family as well.
