Hill’s unveils new products at VMX 2025

ORLANDO, FLA.
— Hill’s Pet Nutrition brought its microbiome science to the 2025 Veterinary Meeting & Expo (VMX), the world’s largest global veterinary education conference presented by the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC). During the expo, Hill’s featured its new and enhanced Prescription Diet and Science Diet products.

Hill’s microbiome expertise is built upon the collection and processing of thousands of fecal, oral, skin and urinary microbiome samples.
The company directly applies learnings from data analysis to the development of nutritional interventions, including several ActivBiome+ fiber bundle and ingredient blend technologies. 

These technologies include:

• ActivBiome+ Digestion, a proprietary blend of prebiotics shown to rapidly activate the gut microbiome to support digestive health and wellbeing, according to Hill’s.
• ActivBiome+ Kidney Defense, designed to activate the gut microbiome in order to reduce harmful waste products.

Building on the success in products like Hill's Prescription Diet Gastrointestinal Biome, many of the new and enhanced Hill’s Prescription Diet products launching in 2025 feature this ActivBiome+ technology.
Several of the products are also designed to aid veterinary professionals in managing pets with multiple conditions. 

These products include:

• Prescription Diet z/d for dogs and cats, upgraded with ActivBiome+ Digestion, offering  therapeutic nutrition with hydrolyzed proteins to help reduce skin irritation, scratching and digestive issues caused by adverse food reactions.
   
• Prescription Diet i/d for cats, upgraded with ActivBiome+ Digestion, offering  nutrition formulated to activate the gut microbiome and help settle digestive upsets.

Hill’s also enhanced its Science Diet portfolio, bringing ActivBiome+ Multi-Benefit technology to its dry life stage products. Upgraded Hill’s Science Diet life stage dry dog and cat foods now include ActivBiome+ Multi-Benefit to support lifelong vitality with clinically proven antioxidants to support the immune system and gut-nourishing prebiotic fibers, according to Hill’s.
