How Many Cats Is Too Many Cats? Come to the CFA Cat Show at I-X Center

We adore cats but honestly we were a little overwhelmed reading about everything that will be going on at the CFA International Cat Show & Expo taking place over two days at the I-X Center.

Start with 46 breeds competing in 16 rings, plus another eight rings for non-pedigreed (aka “pet”) cats, with judging taking place both days.
There’ll also be “agility” competitions open to all cats.
Good luck with that! We know they’re agile but not on command.

But that’s not all that will fill the giant exhibition hall.
There’ll be dozens of vendors selling all sorts of cat-related items and —danger! danger! — an adoption village with five local rescues offering an opportunity to bring more cuteness into your home.
There’ll be celebrity cat meet-and-greets and speakers from cat-related TV shows, social media and podcasts, “cat-aoke” where you can win prizes for “meowing along” to your favorite tune, feline trivia and a cat costume contest.
There’s also something called a “whisker walkoff” which we have no idea what it is.
You’ll have to be there to find out.
