Huge sponsored dog walk to take place in Clacton raising money

The National Animal Welfare Trust will be hosting a 5k sponsored walk starting from the Martello Lounge, in Clacton.

Due to start on national Walk Your Dog Day, on February 22, the event invites people with and without dogs to take part.

A spokesman for the event said: “We will be taking on whatever the good old British weather can throw at us.

“We'd also love it if you would like to bring along your four legged friends. If not, bring as many two legged friends as you can.

“Taking part is simple, meet us at the Martello Lounge around 30 mins before the start and make a donation of £5 cash only.”

The Martello Lounge will be providing keen walkers with tea and coffee after the walk.

The National Animal Welfare Trust is a rescue and rehoming charity which cares for animals and pets in the south of England.

If you have any questions, please email m.moffat@nawt.org.uk or call our centre on 01255 860062. We cant wait to see you all on the 22nd February.
