HyunA Accused of Abandoning Rescue Dog, Netizens Defend Idol With THIS Explanation

Amid her wedding preparations, speculations that HyunA abandoned her rescue dog arose after seeing her pre-nuptial shoot with Junhyung.

On Sept. 3rd, soon-to-be-married couple HyunA and Yong Junhyung shared their wedding pictorial on Instagram.

The first set of photos earned high interest due to the unconventional ‘fit of the idols, wherein the female star wore flat shoes instead of high heels. She also flaunted Harley Quinn-inspired makeup in a mini-dress and fishnet stockings.

In the next set, the couple exuded a loving bride-groom atmosphere, and it became more special with a snap with Sogeum, HyunA's beloved bichon.

However, noise erupted among fans as they shared confusion that only Sogeum joined the pictorial and not Haetnim, a rescue dog she adopted in 2019. When this came to netizens' knowledge, people were quick to judge HyunA, accusing her of being an irresponsible pet owner, that she might have abandoned him.

Despite the hate the singer is gaining for deciding to marry the controversial Yong, K-Netz indirectly defended her by explaining that the dog was left under the care of Dawn, HyunA's ex-fiancé. They then continued by praising the male idol for loving Haetnim and attested to other fans that the dog was being well cared for.

On the same day, HyunA's current label AT AREA warned of the spread of malicious rumors to defame the female artist by releasing an official statement.

The label said:

“We had prepared to file legal action against the constant personal attacks, spread of false information, and malicious distortions regarding our artist HyunA, but we have consistently shown leniency at the artist's request.

However, since the announcement of the marriage, we have confirmed that the defamation has been carried out indiscriminately to a level that we can no longer stand by and watch.

In particular, since the release of the wedding pictorial, the production and distribution of rumors that are completely different from the truth have become serious, so we have decided to take strong action.”

They also emphasized:

“As a minimum measure to protect our personalities, we will take strict legal action against malicious rumors in the future without any warnings, leniency, or agreements.”

HyunA and Yong Junhyung are planning to get married on October 11. Ahead of the event, not only was the female soloist accused of abandoning her rescue dog, but rumors of a premarital pregnancy also broke among K-pop enthusiasts. Through this statement, has been revealed that all of these are not true.

Meanwhile, the absurd rumors rooted in the criticism of HyunA after dating Yong Junhyung, who left his team BEAST (hereinafter HIGHLIGHT) in 2019.

At the time, he made the decision following his involvement in the “illegal video distribution” group chat headed by Jung Joon Young, ex-BIGBANG Seungri, and ex-FTISLAND Choi Jong Hoon.
