I took my dog for a haircut but think the groomers gave me back the wrong pooch – she went ‘from Shih Tzu to Beagle’

A WOMAN has revealed that she took her pooch to the groomers to get a haircut, but it didn’t go quite how she planned.

A content creator named Abigail explained that she took her small Shih Tzu dog to get a trim, but was left with a pooch that looked like a totally different dog.

Abigail took to social media to show a before and after look at her dog’s haircut, as she shared a clip with the caption ‘sheshable haircut’, leaving many open-mouthed.

Shih Tzu’s are best known for their show-stopping hair, which actually has two layers.

The top coat, which can grow to be quite long, is fine and silky, while the under coat is soft and feathery.

Like other dog breeds, Shih Tzus do shed. However, Shih Tzu’s are one of several breeds that have human-like hair, rather than fur, and so don't shed as much.

At the start of Abigail’s short clip, the influencer first shared a picture of her adorable, small dog, prior to its appointment.

However, seconds later, we saw Abigail’s pet after the haircut – but it’s safe to say that the pooch had an incredibly different appearance.

The once very fluffy pet had been given a close shave – with not only the body hair given a strong trim, but the face too.

Stunned at the haircut fail, Abigail posted crying emojis and penned: “I think the groomer gave me the wrong dog.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @_abbycpt, has clearly left many totally stunned, as it has quickly gone viral and has since amassed 3.9 million views.

Social media users were left baffled by Abigail’s clip and many took to the comments to share their thoughts on the dogs’ haircut.
