I’m a pet sitter – there’s a breed I regret working with every time, they slobber or get in my space in a NSFW way

A PET sitter shared which pooch takes puppy love to a whole other level.

They didn't appreciate one particular Fido who had a habit of getting a bit too friendly.

Redditor Comprehensive-ad1268 explained how the breed did not respect personal boundaries – at all.

“Personally, I hate working with Boxers,” they said.

“I will if I need the money, but I regret it every time,” they continued.

They would have preferred to care for the pet in peace but it seemed that staying dry was not in the cards when dealing with this type of dog.

“I am not a huge fan of slobber. The Boxer I currently am pet-sitting slobbers everywhere and gets it all over me,” they said.

And that wasn't the only issue they had with the problematic pooch.

“He constantly jumps on me, and the owners call it ‘hugging.”

Having no regard for their personal space was becoming NSFW, or not safe for work.

They even had the injuries to prove it.

“The other Boxer I pet sat for humped me,” they said.

I’m a pet sitter and there’s a breed I’d never own – each one I’ve watched has had ‘absolutely no manners’

“I tripped and he took the opportunity. In the struggle of getting up, he left scratch marks all over me,” they continued.

“Maybe I just have not met a good one yet.”

Aside from their status as world-class slobberers, the Boxer is known for their alert and “silly” personalities, according to the American Kennel Club.

They can also be upbeat and playful.

The Boxer is often praised for their athletic abilities as well.

This includes a smooth gait and a “powerful” forward thrust.

They are described as being observant watchdogs and are best suited to be in the company of other children and animals early in life.

Others had their own tales to tell about the temperaments of certain breeds.

“Huskies – they require too much attention for me and have way too big of a personality,” said one reader.

“I just did houses sitting with a massive Great Dane Mastiff mix – he was an enormous, drooly baby,” said another user.

Signs your dog could turn dangerous

Expert advice from Dr. Sara Ochoa, who has been practicing veterinary medicine for over five years.

Ochoa told The U.S. Sun observing a dog's behavior can provide clues that they might act out.

“A dog that looks tense all over with its fur sticking up or teeth showing is more likely to snap,” she said.

“Staring real hard without blinking could mean trouble too.

“Growling is also a warning the dog is getting mad.”

She said dogs may tuck their tail between their legs when they feel scared or threatened.

“Staying calm and keeping space may help things not to escalate if a dog seems on edge,” she said.

“I hate Labs. I'm so sorry. Every Lab I've had is a disaster,” one Redditor chimed in.

“Doodles. Entitled owners and jerk dogs,” wrote another.
