Amir Anwary, a vet from South Africa, said: “These are five dog breeds I would never own as a veterinarian.
He first revealed he would never get a BullTerrier, especially one with white skin which can lead to lots of skin problems.
“I think they're such a lovely, goofy breed, but oh my God, their skin is always reacting to something,” he said.
On top of that, their paws are often inflamed and have issues with their claws.
Next on the list was the English Bulldog, as the vet revealed they were too high maintenance.
He added: “They struggle to breathe. They overheat very quickly. They can't exercise a lot. And they're also prone to allergies.
“And on top of that, they get infections in their skin folds.”
While Amir said the Bernese Mountain dog was a lovely breed, he couldn't face the heartbreak of owning one.
He revealed they often have bone problems from being so large and tend to have a short lifespan of 6 to 8 years, something he couldn't go through.
Next was the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel which also suffered from a genetic condition.
The vet added: “This breed is going to be on chronic heart medication, which can get really, really expensive.
“And they're gonna be going for regular vet visits.
“I think it might actually be worth it because of how amazing this breed is, but not for me.”
Last but not least, the dog pro said huskies were another breed he would never bring home.

The vet confessed that this was way too much dog for him.
He explained: “Siberian huskies are loud, they have way too much energy, they shed way too much hair.
“If they get bored, they will literally destroy your whole garden.
“They are way too stubborn, It's a no for me.”
The clip quickly went viral on his TikTok account @amirthevet with over 215k views and 6,900 likes.
People were quick to share their thoughts on the dog breeds he pointed out.
One person wrote: “I have a white bull terrier. And yes. All true. Sensitive skin. But.. omg. The goofiest most loving and fun dog I’ve ever had.”
Another commented: “Huskies are just amazing, they literally have a mind of their own. Yes they are high maintenance but they are worth it.”
“I got two Huskies and I think they are broken. Quiet, lazy and have never destroyed anything,” penned a third.

“Huskies are simply the best breed ever,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “I have a Husky. You are right with the descriptions. He is worth it all though. You get a lot of laughs with them. They have a personality.”
