ATLANTA — The 2024 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) has surpassed 600,800 square feet of exhibit space and has secured more than 1,295 exhibitors, making it the largest trade show floor in the event’s history.
The IPPE is planned from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
“We are really pleased with the expanded show floor square footage and the level of exhibitor participation,” said IPPE show organizers. “This is going to be an exciting show that you will not want to miss.”
IPPE is sponsored by the US Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY), the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) and the Meat Institute.
The 2024 IPPE will provide attendees with a full week of education programs, innovative technology, engaging activities on the show floor and enhanced networking opportunities with industry leaders from the animal food, meat, and poultry and egg industries. The trade show floor will showcase the latest technology, equipment and services used in the production and processing of animal food, meat, and poultry and egg products.
IPPE will also feature more than 80 hours of dynamic education sessions focused on current industry issues. One of those sessions will be an in-depth, behind-the-scenes discussion of how policy decisions are made by the US Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspective Service (USDA-APHIS).
APHIS will join AFIA, the Pet Food Institute and North American Renderers Association (NARA) at the 2024 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) for “USDA-APHIS A Dialogue and Digest” education program. Attendees will hear directly from APHIS headquarters and field staff, who will cover a wide range of topics. Options will be provided for small group interactions with APHIS staff.
“We are excited that APHIS is partnering with us again at IPPE,” said Mallory Gaines, director of market access and multilateral affairs at AFIA. “Now is the chance for members to learn from APHIS about how policy decisions within the agency are made. How does APHIS engage with foreign governments? How are health certificate agreements negotiated? These are questions we are asked, and I hope this information can help members plan their export initiatives. Join us and take the opportunity to not only learn about policy, but to network with APHIS staff too.”
Online registration for IPPE and the USDA-APHIS program is now open at www.ippexpo.org. The educational program runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 31, 2024.
Additionally, the AFIA will host its Pet Food Conference (PFC) in conjunction with IPPE. The PFC will discuss global trends, sustainable packaging and emerging issues in the pet food and treat industry. Other hot topics include trends in biotic ingredients and regulatory challenges currently impacting the industry.
The AFIA will also announce the recipient of the Friend of Pet Food Award during the PFC and will also showcase student research.
“The AFIA Pet Food Conference is the place to be to learn what is up and coming in the pet food industry and connect with hundreds of pet food professionals,” said Louise Calderwood, director of regulatory affairs at the AFIA. “New research and trends are changing more quickly than ever, and it is incredibly important to stay on top of rapidly developing issues.”
The PFC will run from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 30.
