Catch a look at Rocket: today's Pet of the Week from Tri-County Humane Society!

Rocket is a bit of an enigma: he came from another facility and it's unknown how he'll do when in orbit of cats, children, or other dogs. What we do know is that he's a neutered 10-month-old pitty-mix out-of-this-world lovebug who's captured the hearts of the TCHS staff. Stop by Tri-County Humane Society to meet Rocket today!

Meet Some Not-So-Creepy-Crawly Friends on October 15th at TCHS!

Check out a family-friendly event for kids and adults alike that lets you see atypical pets like:

  • tarantulas
  • lizards
  • frogs

There's a suggested donation of $10 per family. See TCHS's event page for more info!

“Name Your Price” Adoption Fee Promotion For Adult Cats!

Adult cats one year and older qualify for the TCHS “Name Your Price” Deal! No strings attached; save the strings for playing with your new-to-you fur baby!

Need a Barn Cat? Call Tri-County Humane Society!

Not all cats are lazy overlords! TCHS often has “working cats” (or barn cats) who prefer the great outdoors. They do best in pairs or groups. Working cats are still spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and qualify for the “Name Your Price” adoption fee promotion!

  5. Your neutered male will be much better behaved.
  6. Spaying or neutering will NOT make your pet fat.
  7. It is highly cost-effective.
  8. Spaying and neutering your pet is good for the community.

Book Buddies Reading Program

Pets love to be read to. If you have a kiddo (age 5-15 years preferred) in your household who would LOVE to read to a shelter resident, then the Book Buddies program is for you (them)! Pets don't care about mispronounced words, and it's beneficial for both the kiddo (who gets practice reading aloud) and the resident, as shelter life can be stressful.

For Pets' Sake!

Thursdays through Saturdays from 2pm to 5pm, For Pets' Sake Thrift is open next to the animal shelter! Get gently used collars, pet beds, leashes, apparel, and accessories, with all profits staying to take care of the residents!

GoodPup

Tri-County Humane Society wants you and your new family member to succeed, so they've teamed up with GoodPup to provide a customizable, affordable, and positive dog training program that you both can work on from home!
