A Florida woman who allegedly killed her dog at an airport was seen by a janitor cleaning up water and dog food from the floor of the bathroom.
Alison Agatha Lawrence, 57, from Florida, was told she could not take her dog on her flight to Orlando International Airport as she didn’t have the right documents, so she reportedly drowned the dog and stuffed its body into a dustbin.
That bin was found by the janitor, who said the bag was heavier than expected when they picked it up. Also found was a vest, collar, rabies tag, travel bag and name tag with the woman’s name and phone number.

The Clermont woman’s dog was found by a member of staff at the airport and Orlando Police were sent out with a warrant for the woman’s arrest. Lawrence was arrested on aggravated cruelty charges at her home last Tuesday.
Orlando Police did not say what kind of animal had died and no other info was released.
But the traveller was seen on CCTV with a small poodle, and her neighbours said she had a white poodle she walked locally.
Lawrence was released on $5,000 bail just five hours after she was booked into Lake County Jail.
They said that neither Lawrence or the dog had been seen recently with one local resident reportedly claiming: “Someone that would do such things has got to be disturbed upstairs.”
Neighbours Roy and Janet Fernandes watched as police approached Lawrence’s home to arrest her.
Fernandes said: “They left, then they came back. He said he heard a commotion going on outside. That must have been when they arrested her.”
Lawrence’s sister told WFTV that she didn’t know anything about the allegations or her sister’s whereabouts, and that Lawrence didn’t have a phone.
State Senator Tom Leek, who recently filed an animal cruelty offenses bill, said on the Senate floor: “This is yet another horrible example of why I filed [the bill] related to animal cruelty, which strengthens criminal penalties for those who do harm to innocent animals.”
He also said: “It is my commitment to have this good bill pass the Florida Senate and the Florida House of Representatives and sent to Governor Ron DeSantis for his signature”, ClickOrlando reported.
