Heart of Minnesota Animal Center – Chase
Chase is a 9-year-old terrier mix who is a repeat guest at HMAS, through no fault of his own. He was adopted last summer and surrendered again at the end of this February. He is definitely a true companion. Although hesitant of strangers (yes, he will bark at them), he quickly calms when he is allowed to greet people at his own pace, which happens fairly quickly as his curiosity overrides his fear.
Chase loves walks & sniffing everything! Best to use a harness with this gentleman. Does not like his feet messed with…likely a traumatic experience with a nail clipping, but with patience and a groomer with some tricks up their sleeve, he can slowly replace the bad experience with good. His age doesn’t seem to slow him down. He’s an active, happy, curious boy who loves to be close to those he trusts.
He’s pretty special, and sweet. Are you a good match for our Chase? For more information contact the shelter by clicking here.

Ruff Start Dog & Cat Rescue – Reeces Puppycakes
Hi there, I’m Reeces Puppycakes, a playful young pup who loves playing, snuggling and watching television. While some pups will zonk out, I tune in! I use my cute ears to hear all the sounds.
I’m trying to put on some weight, and I’m doing a really good job of it because I LOVE to eat. I’m also doing a really good job of potty training and I only have the occasional accident. I do well in my crate and keep it spick-and-span. I get along well with adults and other dogs. I do like to explore the world with my mouth and am working hard on learning what is okay and not okay to chew on. That may or may not include your hands and clothing… Hang on there, I’m doing better! I can get a little bossy, so I need a leader who will stand their ground and provide me with consistent boundaries.
Are you ready for some puppy breath and kisses? Reece Puppycakes is a male Shepherd/Australian Kelpie mix. For more information on Reece Puppycakes and how to adopt, visit www.ruffstartrescue.org.

Hawk Creek Animal Shelter – Molly
Molly is a 7-month-old Catahoula Leopard dog that is female. She enjoys playing with stuffies and does well with other dog friends. Sweet and energetic are two words to describe this baby girl. She already has a great recall under her belt and willing to learn new things. A submissive smile comes across her face when she’s unsure about new things. This breed is very loving with family and need to be socialized early on to continue to be amazing dogs.

Midwest Animal Rescue & Services (MARS) – Ilo
Meet Ilo!
This special boy has come a long way while being here. Schedules and consistency go a long way with him. His ideal family is in a house with a nice, fenced backyard to run around in. Possibly another dog to play with. He does well with small and medium size dogs as well as larger dogs. He would also be fine with kids grade school age and up.
Ilo loves squeaky toys, Kong balls, stuffed bones, and chew toys. He does ride well in the car. He has been going to doggy daycare and the reports have all been good. Daily he was advancing in his playgroups and confidence. In his foster home he is not allowed on the furniture but has his own beds in various rooms. He learned the house rules quickly. Ilo does require a prescription diet to help with a sensitive
digestive system.

Heartland Animal Rescue Team (HART) – Albert
Albert is a 2-year-old Domestic Short Hair cat, who is a bit on the shy side until he warms up to you. Albert loves attention at his own pace and seems to get along with any other cat he comes in contact with. You can view his adoption profile online at hartpets.org, call the shelter for more information at (218) 829-4141, or visit him in person at 15494 Dellwood Drive, Brainerd MN 56401 from 11 am- 4:00 pm.

Tri-County Animal Shelter – Polly
Polly wants a home! This 2-year-old spayed yellow Lab mix came to Tri-County Humane Society as a transfer from another facility. Polly is great with kids, but she can be picky about who she picks for canine friends. (We recommend a meet-and-greet at the shelter with any resident dogs.) Polly will need lots of exercise and regular walks to help burn off her abundant amounts of energy! Polly spent some time in foster care, and her foster people reported that she is a very good girl! Interested in fostering dogs or puppies? More information about Polly and fostering can be found on the website.

Underdog Pet Rescue of MN – Barlowe
Hi everybody! I am Barlowe! I will keep you laughing but will also keep you on your toes! My siblings and I were sadly raised all alone in a dark shed. Luckily, we were rescued last month. Since then, I have learned A LOT! When I came to my foster home, I was like an 8-week-old puppy in a six-month-old body! Now, foster mom says that I am finally acting my age!
I have also learned to go potty outside. I am not 100% yet, I’ll admit. I would say I am a strong 97% though! I do hold it in my crate when you have to go somewhere and leave me. I also hold it all night long. Fortunately, if I do need to go potty during the night, I will wake you up and let you know. In my foster home, I live with a foster sibling who is my age, and male and female adult dogs, all of whom I respect. I will do best in a home with an adult female dog who will keep showing me the ropes! Did I mention I am also good with chickens and ducks!?!
I am doing very well on leash walking but I have yet to master any actual commands. Like everyone, I suppose, all I really want is to be treated with kindness, especially after my sad and lonely young puppyhood. If you are looking for a sweet, happy puppy, who is making great progress and will bring you lots of joy, I’m your guy!

Pet Haven of Minnesota – Fisher
Fisher is a 57-pound goofball! This 1-year-old pup loves people and other dogs, and always aims to please. A social butterfly, he THRIVES with ample daily activity, and this will be so important for him to have in his forever home. Fisher loves to hang out with his doggie pals and is always up for playtime with his humans!
Fisher is house-trained and does amazing on a schedule. He is crate-trained too! Fisher was abandoned in a rural area and left to fend for himself for a while so he came to Pet Haven with some separation anxiety. He has made amazing progress and does really well with structure/routine which should be continued in his forever home.
So, if you are looking for an amazing, active, and adoring companion – Fisher is your pup! If you are interested, don’t waste time with an inquiry, please click here to fill out Pet Haven‘s adoption application.
