BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Pets at the Kern County Animal Services were served their annual Thanksgiving meal.
Dogs were given bowls of chicken, carrots, gravy, pumpkin, and whipped cream.
Cats were given chicken in their bowls.
The facility said cats are obligate carnivores meaning they don’t really need or should be getting a lot of vegetables.
The facility was filled with volunteers to help.
The facility thanks those who donated to make the annual event possible.
The Kern County Animal Services is located at 3951 Fruitvale Avenue.
