Last week, I was out of the office for a couple days so I didn’t have time to do our regularly scheduled Pet of the Week. But I also couldn’t skip our pet from last week so this week you are getting a double whammy! Meet Kizzy and Parker.
KIZZIE
Kizzie is a 10-month-old Terrier mix who came from Evansville Animal Care and Control. She’s an absolute sweetheart who gets along with dogs, cats, people, and kids!
Kizzie is making great progress with her potty training and is almost there. She’s playful, curious, and loves to explore.
We fostered Kizzie for two nights and this pup is the SWEETEST girl that wants nothing more than a warm, comfy, and loving home very playful & good with other dogs! Also a BIG snuggle bug! –Tessa-Jo Allen
Her adoption fee is currently 20% off.
PARKER
Parker is a 9-month-old Husky mix who came to them from Evansville Animal Care and Control. This sweet boy adores dogs, people, and kids alike. He’s full of energy and loves to run and play, making him a great companion for an active household.
Parker is already potty trained and has thrived in his foster home. He’s smart, eager to learn, and loves to please.
Originally, Parker’s adoption fee was $250, but it’s now 20% off, so you can bring him home for just $200!
He also loves car rides and pup cups, and he seems to be potty trained! He had a few accidents the first day or two, but there’s consistently no messes since. He loves attention and to snuggle. – WHS
Stop by the Warrick Humane Society to meet Parker or Kizzie during their open hours: Wednesday-Thursday from 12-7 and Friday-Sunday from 12-4. They can’t wait for you to meet these amazing pups!

Petting Zoos Within Driving Distance of the Tri-State
Anyone who knows me knows that I prefer animals over people most days. I tell my boyfriend all of the time that when we retire, I want a little plot of land with some cows, goats, pigs, chickens, and a whole lot of dogs. A girl can dream, right?
Sadly, since I can’t have my own farm anytime soon, I guess I will settle for enjoying other people’s animals, which means frequenting petting zoos and farms is pretty common for us. Luckily, I don’t have to drive far to pet all the animals I can fit into a day.
From elephants to highland cattle to Clydesdales and a coatimundi, the tristate offers a wide variety of petting zoos that can be visited in a short day trip. Next thing you know, you’ll be making your own list of animals to have on your own dream farm like me.

How To Tell Someone You’re From Warrick County Without Saying You’re From Warrick County
There are several ways to tell someone where you’re from without actually telling them where you’re from. Let’s take Warrick County for example.
