LVIV, UKRAINE — Lithuanian-based construction firm Panevėžio statybos trestas AB (PST) has signed a contract to build a new wet pet food manufacturing plant for Ukraine-based pet food producer Kormotech. The two-story, 16,000-square-meter (172,222-square-foot) facility will be located in Kėdainiai, Lithuania.
The project, expected to cost $26.5 million Euro ($28.1 million USD), will take 13 months to complete construction. In addition to production, administrative and storage facilities will be incorporated into the new site.
To support the company’s ongoing sustainability efforts, Kormotech will seek the highest possible BREEAM In-Use rating for the facility.
Additionally, Kormotech has continued to expand into other global markets including Malaysia, Finland, Spain, Italy and its most recent expansion into South Korea this July.
