Lafayette Animal Shelter pet adoptions free through Dec. 17

All animals at the Lafayette Animal Shelter & Care Center are available for adoption at no cost through Dec.
17.

The Lafayette Animal Shelter & Care Center is among more than 400 shelters in 45 states participating in the Empty the Shelters reduced-fee adoption event being promoted by BISSELL Pet Foundation, a national animal welfare organization dedicated to ending pet homelessness.

are eligible for adoption for free Dec.
2-17. The animals are fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered.

Several of the animals have been in the shelter for more than 30 days, LASCC Shelter Supervisor Shelley Delahoussaye said.

"We’d love nothing more than to see them find loving homes in time for the holidays," she said.
"Opening your home to a pet not only transforms their life but brings joy and companionship to yours."

Lafayette Animal Shelter & Care Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.
until 4:30 p.m.
and on Saturday from noon until 2 p.m.
