A MUCH-LOVED family pet who was missing from her home in Portlaoise since Friday has been found safe.
The gorgeous mini-schnauzer named Sheila was reunited with her family in the Kilminchy area early this morning, having been missing since 5pm on 9 August.
Appeals were launched by gardaí and the Laois SPCA as the devastated family tried to locate the four-year-old dog, who was microchipped and registered.
The overjoyed family thanked everyone who shared posts and helped the appeal in any way. A post on the Laois Nationalist page alone was shared more than 140 times.
