WEISENBERG TWP., Pa.
- You could say a Lehigh County veterinarian and his dog are in the social media spotlight.
The duo went viral practically overnight, all thanks to a hilarious post on TikTok.
West Lehigh Veterinary Care just opened two months ago, and already, it has a TikTok with 10 million views.
It was posted Friday, and within hours, thousands of likes and comments poured in from social media users in the U.S.
and countries like Australia, Germany and beyond.
"We only had a little over 100 followers before this video, and now, we're over 5,000," explained Dr.
Tim Mosebey.
Mosebey shows the efforts he and his team are willing to take to make the pets they care for comfortable.
"It's not an uncommon thing for dogs to sometimes be afraid of, especially men, for whatever reason," explained the vet.
It's hard to say who's the star, Dr.
Mosebey or his dog, Rosie McMosebey, who makes quite the face near the end of the clip.
"Judgment, maybe," laughed receptionist Brook Furhman.
"Confusion."
It's clear, though, there's only one mastermind producer.
"I'm the brains.
He's the beauty," Furhman said.
"She's one of our receptionists, one of our customer service representatives, and I've been referring to her as our vice president of social media relations," joked Mosebey.
She knows a thing or two about how TikTok works.
Videos of her late hospice cat S.S.
Georgie have millions of views.
"We did one take, and I was like, 'Okay, let's do one more take to get a little more sass on Dr.
Mosebey's face,'" Fuhrman said.
She's also the one responding to all the comments.
They include questions like, "What are all those orange marks on her?"
"She had a rough shift at the highlighter factory," joked Furhman, as she read aloud one of her replies.
The real answer?
"It's really just dyed for fun," explained Mosebey.
"Her name is Rosie, so we make her red."
"It's overwhelming, but very entertaining.
Very funny.
I'm on a little bit of a dopamine rush," added Fuhrman.
Plenty of people also want to know if Rosie is really afraid of men.
Dr.
Mosebey says stay tuned.
The short answer is yes, but the full story is being saved for another, hopefully viral, TikTok.
He says the goal is for the center to get 10,000 followers.
It's holding a community open house June 15 with live music, local food, and some adult beverages.
The address is 9897 Old U.S.
22, Breinigsville, PA.
