Udaipur/Jaipur: Significant incidents involving leopards have raised concerns in Rajasthan’s rural areas. In Gogunda’s Sayra, a leopard intruded into the populated region, attacking and killing two calves belonging to Hari Singh Ranawat, instilling fear among villagers. Following the incident, officials from forest dept, veterinary services, and revenue dept arrived on-site, with locals urging for traps to capture leopard.
Meanwhile, in Jaipur’s Jarunda, a leopard was reported to have snatched a domestic dog, escalating panic among residents due to frequent leopard movements in the area. In Markhi village, around 20 kilometers from Shahpura, villagers spotted a leopard among Babool trees, prompting the forest dept to dispatch a rescue team led by Range Officer Mukesh Sharma.
