The Limelight Lounge in Aspen has gone to the dogs … literally!
The Limelight Lounge, located at 355 S Monarch St. in Aspen, will be hosting its second dog portrait event on Monday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 6 p.m. Guests and locals are invited to bring their furry friends, dressed in their finest Halloween costumes for what promises to be a howling good time filled with surprises for both dogs and their owners.

During the event, dog owners will have the opportunity to have their pets photographed in their Halloween costumes, with complimentary photo prints provided.
But Aspen’s not the only one in on the fun, as Limelight Hotels is offering complimentary dog portraits this month at their Denver and Ketchum, ID locations, as well. For more information about portrait events at the other locations, visit blog.limelighthotels.com/dog-portraits-limelight-aspen/.

Public Relations Senior Manager Meaghan de L’Arbre said that while the idea is still relatively new for Limelight, all of the properties plan on continuing with dog portraits in the future, but each event will focus on different themes, so not all of them will be centered around the same holiday.
“This is the first Halloween themed dog portrait,” she said. “With these events across all of our properties we’ve had great success. Being pet friendly is part of our brand and it’s just a fun way to bring the community in.”

Additionally, de L’Arbre said that while the pups are busy enjoying the spotlight and being treated to Halloween-themed treats, owners can enjoy drink specials with a portion of the proceeds benefiting local animal shelters. At Monday’s event in Aspen, a percentage of all Ghostly Greyhounds and Boozy Barktinis purchased will be donated to the Aspen Animal Shelter.
“It ties into our philanthropy, we really try to give back to the communities that we’re in. It’s a great way to get into the Halloween spirit with the community and your pets,” she said. “People have a lot of fun, and it’ll be exciting to see all of the dogs in costume for sure.”
