TEXARKANA, Ark. – LNKTXK presented the city’s first wiener dog races on Saturday benefiting the Texarkana Animal League at Hopkins Icehouse.
“So, we have wiener dog races, obviously, and then we have a wiener-be category for dogs that wanna-be wiener dogs,” said LNKTXK Vice Chair Caleb Mudford. “And the prizes will be first through third for the wiener dog race, and the wiener-be would just be the overall for that race.”
The festivities also included a pet costume contest open to any pet showing up in a costume, a hot dog eating contest and an ice chest giveaway benefiting the Texarkana Animal League. This non-profit helps to support animals in need in the community.
LNKTXK is a professional networking non-profit organization that helps connect people with events in Texarkana while giving back to other non-profits.
