GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) -Happy Little Rescue held their “Pawsta for a Purrpose” fundraiser on April 13.
The event celebrated the group’s successes, including when they recently brought in a group of 52 dogs from shelters in Alabama. All proceeds went toward helping the dogs. “It is an absolute need to help these animals, no matter where they come from. Just because these animals were about to not exist anymore, and so we were able to save them, and the pets will also bring joy to people’s lives. So, it is a win-win. People add a new family member to their life and also save a life,” said Danielle Dyer, the Founder and Director of Happy Little Rescue.
Another goal of the event was bringing awareness to animal rescue across the nation. “We are so thankful that we have the facility to care for them and it is just one small part of a big crisis we have nationwide and we’re just so happy that we’re able to help in any small way,” said Dyer.
