LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – A Lorain family’s dog that was lost six years ago was reunited with her family this week.
According to a post from the Friends of Lorain County Dog Kennel, when the dog came into the kennel, workers found the chip belonged to someone in Florida.
Workers connected with the family and found the dog had been lost six years ago, when the family still lived in Lorain.
The owner said they kept updating the chip in case the dog was found.
The dog, Lucy Marie, was picked up earlier this week by the owner’s sister.
The post urges pet owners to keep microchip information updated.
