Manchester Dog-Lovers Wanted For Channel 4’s ‘The Dog House’

Manchester is a pretty dog-mad city, what with the endless parks and green spaces for our canine friends to run around, and all the dog-friendly establishments that fill the place. Dog-lovers are now in luck, because applications are now open for the brand new series of The Dog House on Channel 4, uniting rescue dogs with their perfect match.

Producers are currently looking for applicants from the Manchester area for a brand new series of The Dog House—the BAFTA-nominated, heartwarming Channel 4 show that follows the incredible journeys of rescue dogs finding their perfect match.

The big TV cheeses would love to reach dog-lovers in Manchester who may be considering welcoming a rescue dog into their lives. The Dog House, in partnership with Woodgreen Pets Charity, highlights the profound bond between humans and canines and the life-changing impact it can have on both.

Since 2019, this RTS award-winning and BAFTA-nominated series has captured the hearts of viewers across the UK, sharing emotional stories of rescue dogs and the people hoping to give them a forever home. The show demonstrates that it’s not just the dogs who are being rescued—many of their new owners find their lives transformed in the process.

The Dog House is currently airing on Thursdays at 8pm on Channel 4 – in case you want a reference before applying (it’s very cute, trust us).

Who can apply for The Dog House?

Basically anyone who’s looking to take in a rescue dog. You should be prepared to put the work in, and of course be aged 18 years or over – but whole families are also welcome. Applicants should be willing to share their reasons for wanting to adopt a dog, so whatever your reason, you should be prepared to have it aired on Channel 4. That’s it!
