New Orleans’ sights, sounds and flavors will greet guests at Pets & People Humane Society’s fun-filled Mardi Gras-style gala on Saturday, Sept. 28 in Yukon.
The gala and silent auction theme is “Mardi Gras for Furry Paws.”
“Our organization’s annual fundraiser helps hundreds of our homeless, rescued pets find furrever homes,” said Christi McRee, Pets & People Humane Society president. “The gala also brings our friends and new people together who share our passion for saving pets’ lives.”
Guests are encouraged to arrive as early as 6:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at Dale Robertson Center, 1200 Lakeshore Drive, to have a drink and preview a carefully curated silent auction with more than 300 items.
Suggested attire is Mardi Gras style or formal wear.
“This year’s gala is incredibly exciting with silent auction items like date night packages, massages, pickleball, art, jewelry, collectors’ items, an outdoor fire table, a bar cart and even a seven-day beachfront stay,” said Rhonda Bryant, Mardi Gras gala organizer and Pets & People board member.
“We encourage everyone to get their tickets now for this fun evening in support of a great cause,” added Peggy Nichols, Pets & People vice president.
